Cloud-based document services may require document upload to remote infrastructure. DocsStayLocal is designed so document processing occurs locally in your browser.
Document compilation, layout arrangement, and field extraction execute locally in your web browser session.
In qualification testing, document handling workflows generated 0 document-derived outbound bytes in tested scenarios.
The site and application assets require a normal web connection to load. Document processing is designed to remain in your browser. This is not an offline guarantee, and it does not mean the browser makes no network requests.
Static web application assets load normally via standard HTTP, while document payload data remains strictly local.
| Characteristic | Cloud-Based Document Services | DocsStayLocal (Local Browser Design) |
|---|---|---|
| Document Processing Location | May require document upload to remote servers | Processed locally in your browser |
| Document Data Egress | Document payload sent over network | 0 document-derived outbound bytes in tested scenarios |
| Server Document Storage | May store files in cloud infrastructure | No server document storage required |
| Queueing & Rendering | Depends on remote network and server load | Direct client-side processing without server queueing |
| Application loading | Requires continuous network connection to server | Site and application assets require normal web loading. Document processing is designed to stay in the browser. |
Document processing is designed to stay in your browser. DocsStayLocal also sends limited first-party usage telemetry about which tools and pages are used. It does not intentionally include document contents, filenames, OCR text, or extracted document values. Those usage records are kept for about 30 days. Ordinary hosting logs can include an IP address and User-Agent, and those logs are kept for 30 days. The application does not intentionally log request bodies. No long-term analytics log export is configured.
